A while ago, Flim Flam Films launched a Kickstarter project to fund their documentary, An Honest Liar: The Amazing Randi Story, which will profile the life of the magician turned skeptic, James “The Amazing” Randi, following his crusades to expose con artists, psychics and faith healers.
Now, you might have read that and thought, “What’s that got to do with Tim?” Well, Tim has been interviewed for the documentary – along with fellow skeptics Penn and Teller, Richard Dawkins, Neil deGrasse Tyson and Adam Savage – and they’ve just released a preview clip of him talking about Randi’s influence on his work.
You can pledge as little or as much as you’d like to help fund the documentary, with exclusive goodies, such as Pigasus coasters, movie posters, card decks and signed, rare Randi posters, available at different price points, along with digital and physical copies of the film.

Ahhh James Randi one of the most influential individuals that I’ve had the pleasure of researching. A skeptic mixed with a brutal amount of deceptive honesty.
As for Peter Phillips, his ways of testing were flawed and the researchers involved didn’t show enough scrutiny towards what was being tested, hence why the two that were hired by Randi made it the furthest. Not to say there’s nothing bad about researching the paranormal, but Randi just showed what was wrong.

Great! Love James Randi and his work. Clear thinking, common sense and a sharp, keen mind which keeps the rest of us seeing through the misleadings of others. Thanks for involving yourself in this Tim!

A great magician and humanitarian who tried to save a lot of vulnerable, uneducated and of course the old fashioned drongos, getting ripped off by unscrupulous pseudo magicians – we loosely refer to as priests, ministers, homeopaths, ect ect.

Randi is an international treasure. His ongoing efforts to inject a much needed boost of critical thinking into society is to be commended.

I know of nothing horrible about James Randi. As a skeptic, I would love to know what is so horrible about him…

Oh dear. Randi? Sorry Tim, I really love your work, but that’s just ended it for me. Randi’s a horrible creature.
