Coming soon to ABC TV Australia: Tim, as Northern Irish ex-convict Smasher Sullivan, in the mini-series The Secret River, adapted from Kate Grenville’s acclaimed novel.
Directed by Daina Reid, the series, which will air on ABC in two 90 minute episodes, stars British actor Oliver Jackson-Cohen as William Thornhill, a convict, and Sarah Snook as Sal, his free settler wife, who are transported to the new colony of New South Wales in 1805. Tim is amongst a stellar cast which also includes: Lachy Hulme, Genevieve Lemon and Trevor Jamieson.

The Secret River was shot in locations across Victoria and on The Hawkesbury River, north of Sydney, last year.
It will feature as part of the Sydney Film Festival next month.

The Secret River miniseries looks to be great viewing. Can’t wait for it to be televised. It is another great book of Kate Grenville’s.
