TweetShakespeare Live! From The RSC will be broadcast by BBC Two on Saturday April 23rd, as part of the BBC Shakespeare Festival 2016.
Tim joins a stellar cast which includes: Dame Judi Dench, Sir Ian McKellen, Joseph Fiennes, English National Opera, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Ian Bostridge, Akala, Rufus Wainwright, Al Murray, Meera Syal, Alison Moyet, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Paapa Essiedu, Pippa Nixon, Alexandra Gilbreath, Noma Dumezweni, The Royal Ballet and The Orchestra of the Swan.
Hosted by David Tennant, the live television celebration, marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, will be staged at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford-upon-Avon.
There will only be a very limited number of seats in the auditorium and no tickets will be on sale for the performance. There will be a series of ballots for free tickets. Details here.

Can’t wait to see the Televised RSC production commemorating Shakespeare’s death. I will be sitting there waiting for Rufus ! He’s magical.

Hi Tim. We have a youth theatre group from Stratford in Victoria going along to the festival to perform their version of Taming of the Shrew. The group is Groundwork Youth Theatre and the play will be “Shakespeares Shrew and Other Lies”. Hope you can catch their performance.
