I saw this piece of art on Rage tonight and thought it was great. It did make me want to get up and go climb into bed with my wife and now I am typing this to you with U2 in the background.

It really did surprise me after ‘Canvas Bags’ which i have seen Tim perform live to great applause.

I’ve been hooked ever since i saw “If I Didn’t Have You” on the secret policeman’s ball. I’ve been obsessed with every song, and “Angry” had me in fits of laughs for hours!
Drowned is a truly great song, which does display your unique ability to combine a little humour with deep meaning and emotion. Just like “Not Perfect”, which has some amazing comments on the state of humanity.
I wish i’d heard about your tour dates sooner… I’d have loved to come and see you live.

i just stumbled across this version of the song. i really like it! but i have to admit that i find your voice a bit more full (not really the right word, i hope you know what i mean) on the acoustic version. but i will listen to it some more, hopefully watch the movie some time and perhaps i find a reason why that is so. perhaps i just got the impression because the video version is a bit quiet…

-Friday: Loads of mates sit down to watch ‘a new ginger australian comedian’ DVD… slightly pessimistic, mutters of “that’s like Lee Evans” at the very start, ten minutes in warmed up in the same slow way as the live audience, and by the end only tieing with Dylan Moran as that most amazing favourite comedian due to there really being no way of comparing the two styles of comedy.
-Saturday: Buy the DVD myself, copy to ipod.

Oh my – your song Drowned made me cry! How I adore it. After all the shit I went through in 08, how you brought light into my world!! I have to see that movie!! I just gave up fighting myself! Was East Area Kick Boxing Grand Champion in 2007 but a dodgy heart and a screwed up knee forced me to stop! Boo! I was heartbroken! My fighting name was Lionheart! Regarding the UK DVD So F*ckin Rock

Would someone please tap Tim on the shoulder and politely explain to him that the word “broker” is derived from the French “brocour” (n. Agent or witness of a transaction) and has no etymological relationship with the English verb “break”. I wish it were otherwise because the nicely understated gag deserved to work.

Don’t let that deter anyone from mocking stock brokers though; the “Mitsubishi Colt” beat-poem was fabulous.

And, I have to say, the show was inspired and delicious and stupendous in many different and surprising ways.

Mr. Minchin … oh how to begin. I absolutely love your work, which seems to just get better and better, you never fail to amaze! I am coming to see you in March in Auckland and cannot wait; it will be the first time I have been to one of your live shows. I can’t wait to see what new “stuff” you have come up with but hope that we will get to hear some of the classics. I have watched ‘So fucking rock’ so many times that I am sure the DVD is on the brink of wearing out!
