We thought you were brilliant at latitude!!!
Scott Naber on Thursday, 31 July 2008
Heya, I caught your show yesterday at the Edinburgh Preview yesterday. I really enjoyed it. It was pretty much on track with your earlier stuff. PREVIEW! No worries about the bloopers, was funny as well. Heavier on religion this time (than usual)(may be some past trauma there, or are you sponsoring Dr. Richard Dawson??). I'm writing to Olana now. She's a ginge too (sorry..)that interviewed you at Reading I believe. She said she appreciated 'Racist'. No doubt it long needed to be said. Big fan! Enjoy the Fringe if you can, but you've no doubt been there and done that, all them t-shirts...All the best, Scott

I live in Swanbourne WA (have actually met your parents at Chrissy drinks in the neighbourhood a couple of years back, and saw you at His Maj last April - FANTASTIC show). I thought the article you wrote for The West on the Heath Ledger theatre issue was absolutely brilliant. Much as I adored Heath, I must admit to having some doubts as to whether it was an appropriate decision due to his non-theatrical background - you totally convinced me that it was! In my opinion you and Heath are the two most-talented performers our little city has ever produced. Hope you're in for the long haul.

So, the Edinburgh run starts tonight! (Kinda...) All the best sir, can't wait to get up there x

Tim! Oh my gosh! I saw Rock and roll nerd last night. BEST documentary ever. I loved it and know all the lyrics to all your songs and I'm only 14. :) love you :)
Christopher M on Sunday, 27 July 2008
I like your hair. ;) And your music!
Yukiko Nagashima on Sunday, 27 July 2008
Hi Tim - Rock n Roll Nerd was brilliant. Thanks for letting Rhian record your exciting and emotional journey over the last few years. It's fantastic to see that not just talent, but also hard work and a great degree of risk has finally and deservedly paid off. I am eternally grateful that you didn't end up passing on your dreams and settle into a boring old day job. Can't wait to see you again in Melbourne!
SEM on Sunday, 27 July 2008
I just saw Rock n Roll Nerd, and it is a brilliant doco, well executed and very insightful. Its a shame that Melbourne lost such a brilliant talent to the UK. We are meant the have a strong Arts culture, but more and more I hear stories of brilliant home grown talent having to pack up bags because they're aren't recognised here. Congratulations Tim, for not giving up on what you love. You are a brilliant artist, can't wait to see you when your back in Melbourne.
Kaylene on Sunday, 27 July 2008
I too have just seen the MIFF screening of Rock 'n' Roll Geek and loved it -the whole audience gave it a huge round of applause at the end (and a few spontaneous ones throughout). It must have been quite difficult to have certain parts and times of your life filmed - however it was a wonderful insight into the challenges of making it - thanks to Rhian for a great film and Tim and Sarah for sharing their life (and the hair - wow what a difference). Tim - you deserve your success - the only downside for this fan is you don't get back to Australia enough.
Avril on Sunday, 27 July 2008
and i got the name wrong *blush* "nerd" not "geek"
Avril on Sunday, 27 July 2008
Just saw the film "Rock and Roll Geek" - it was fantastic. Thank you so much for letting us into your life, I hope you and your wife and your little one are all well and happy :)One very inspired new fan

Just thought I'd add to your rather well educated list of fans below with my less educated amazement at your talent. You really make me laugh, truely, which I thought was easy until I actually felt the side crunching ache that your lyrics give me. I'll stop with the compliments so you don't get any bigger headed ;) but I totally love your views on religion. Don't quite agree in places, but they are fantastic, just imagining the looks on the faces of the average person hearing them makes me laugh pretty damn hard. Keep going, and I'll see in the West End Centre on the 8th Oct. =]
Ricky on Friday, 25 July 2008
Hey Tim, Coming to see you tommorow night at the Soho Theatre...CANT WAIT! Ive been going on about it to everyone for at least a month now, planning to come and see you in Canterbury later this year too, and I saw you in Maidstone last year, I think you're absolutely fantastic and if you get a chance to read this before the show PLEASE play Ten Foot Cock and a Few Hundred Virgins, its mine and my friends favorite song of yours! Keep up the great work, Rick x

Have just purchased your So Live DVD for my daughters 16th birthday (deemed by some as very inappropriate!) The whole family can't stop watching it. You are a F**k**g ledgend. Sharon on Wednesday, 23 July 2008
I love you Tim, you're hilarious!! I've got loads of your songs on my Ipod. I want a t-shirt.... I work in a supermarket and almost got fired for harassing the customers by singing "...take your canvas bags when you go to the supermarket! don't use plastics bags when you know the world can take it..." at a woman who asked me for a plastic bag (AFTER I offered her a canvas bag) when she forgot to bring her shopping bags with her! Oh, *sigh*... Please tour Ireland..... PLEASE!!
Sarah on Wednesday, 23 July 2008
I would also like to know if you're coming to Canada - it would be a great idea! Plus, we secretly love it when you make jokes at our expense...we're used to it!

I also saw you at Latitude. It was bloody excellent. I'll be seeing you in Portsmouth in October, man. The critic song was my particular highlight.
Ellie B on Tuesday, 22 July 2008
Good god you made Latitude 08 for me Tim. The wittiest, most original comedian I've ever seen. We Love Jesus, Hate Faggots (!)and will go no where near a plastic bag ever again. Ha ha dee har har! (Not too bad on the old ivories too!)
Philippa on Tuesday, 22 July 2008
I saw you at Latitude this year and you were FANTASTIC!! I'm now back at work and still singing your songs - much to the annoyance of everyone around me!! Off to buy tickets to see you in October now!! .x.

Tuuli on Friday, 18 July 2008
Thanks for Ealing, lovely stuff. I only wish we could have had more of it. Oh, and I think I'd really like your wife. :) I guess there's no point in asking you to do a gig in Finland - and no harm in asking anyway...
Shona on Friday, 18 July 2008
Just wanted to drop a note because I've just got tickets to see you in Aberdeen in October. It usually takes a while for people to get up this far North, but it is MUCH, MUCH appreciated when they make the effort!! Anyway, looking forward to it enormously. I actually bought them thinking it would only be songs I've already heard, (and didn't care about that in the slightest) but having a peek around the site I've seen mention of some new material- even better! Bye!
katie on Thursday, 17 July 2008

Qwerty102 on Thursday, 17 July 2008
Loved the show on 13th. You were brilliant. Please come to Dublin..... two songs isn't enough!
Caitlin Moore on Wednesday, 16 July 2008
Ooo I was also going to analyse your songs for my assignment however I was advised Bob Dylan was a wiser choice.
Caitlin Moore on Wednesday, 16 July 2008
So the message below was left by a friend who incidentally told me that you sent her an email, and I was just wondering... seeing as I am a huge fan (but not in a stalker way) if you could send me an email. That would make my day. Probably not yours... :D And if you didn't send her an email then she is a moleface. HeHe
Jadyn T on Wednesday, 16 July 2008
I'm in year 12, Austrailia. My 3rd last assesment in Senior English is to analyze a Modern Song and relate it to a social issue. I asked if I could do Ten Foot Cock and a Few Hundred Virgins (social relevance = homosexuality and religion), but my teacher frowned excessively at me and advised me not to :P So instead I'm doing Take Your Canvas Bags (to the Supermarket) [environmentalism] and the Peace Anthem for the Palestines [current conflict in Israel and Palestine] - that is, if it's okay with you? Cheers, and keep on singing and playing. . . please?
nicky on Wednesday, 16 July 2008
I'm from New Zealand. Please come here and eat some fush and chups with me. Thanks. P.S If you want you could just come and do a show. I don't want to put pressure on you to eat a meal with me. We don't know each other and I think it would be awkward.

Who do you feel pleadingly...? Tim, I saw Elton John at Doncaster Rovers Football Stadium on Saturday. I could *walk* there. (Oh, he was performing, not watching pre-season friendlies or something.) I wanted to enjoy a big sing-a-long to Tiny Dancer but he played it really near the beginning when people weren't into it. Damn him. Good show, but not as good as our Ben obviously. Hope you enjoyed the Night of Jos thing, and that the warm-ups in London go really well :) See you in Edinburgh x
Chris on Monday, 14 July 2008
You make me giggle till I shit myself
Rachael. on Monday, 14 July 2008
Hey! I saw you at the charity gig last night. The whole night was amazing and I think you closing the show was great. Already got my ticket to see you on the 25th! I think you'll start recognising me soon, seeing as I'm seeing you twice this month.. saw you in may and also seeing you in october! ^__^ You're kind of a genius, so I HAVE to see you every chance I get. :D
Laura on Sunday, 13 July 2008
I saw you on a rerun of the Sideshow last week (cos ABC2 is the coolest thing...since...well, anything) and think you're awesome! Love your stuff, keep up the good work :)
chrisTina on Sunday, 13 July 2008
"Get a haircut, son!" That's what my Dad used to yell out to the hippies boys walking down the street as we drove by (back in the late '60's - early '70's) I'm certain Dad meant that as good advise. His response to seeing a photo of you with Tori: priceless. Hmph. I like your rock & roll hair.
Rose on Saturday, 12 July 2008
Tim Minchin! I have just recently discovered you genius...I am very sad to say. I'm sad because I was studying in East Sussex, England (Herstmonceux Castle)for a year and I would have showed up to EVERY show if you were there when I was/had I known about you! I am an Art History major/Music minor...and you inspire me. Uhm...yea... you kinda rock my socks. Come to Ontario! Next time I'm back in jolly ol' England I will make sure to see you live which would blowww my mindddd! Hopefully you'll play in the O2 soon! I saw the Smashing Pumpkins there. Great stuff... anyways. LOVE your stuff.
Thank Him on Wednesday, 9 July 2008
Your father is one of the nicest doctors I've ever worked for.

Ok, so when will you visit this end of the world? I'm a poor student from Scandinavia who won't be able to rush down to Australia to see any shows. I can't get enough of your music. You're awesome behind the piano and your lyrics are thoughtful, sarcastic and hilarious at the same time, even the short ones! Would love to be able to hear you in person (not to mention get my hands piano notes). Keep up the good job.
