I watched Spicks and Specks on Wednesday and just HAD to say how much I swooned when you picked out the incorrect apostrophe in "you're". I told my husband I want to have your babies. He just rolled his eyes. Your'e the best. JB

WOO! Your new CD and t-shirt finally arrived (they weren't released when i saw you live in Darlo). I love them both so much and thank you for your inarguably big hand in their creation. Ready for this? was really crammed full of songs, and i suppose thats why there was no stand-up between the songs. Which is a shame really, >Sigh< your show was too good for one CD, the poor disk couldn't handle it all, wasn't ready for this. Hoping for a DVD with stand-up included in the future, untill then i will continue borderline fan-worship with the single media of sound. Love and Joy to the family.

Hello Tim, no one too important. just another of those darn fanatics, one that would love to know where you live so I could bring you cookies but fortunately is a little more creative when it comes to stalking ("selective walking") Nah just kidding, my name is Asha and I’m 16, just want to say, your music/acting/writing/ or whatever category it comes under is genius. since i go to a pig headed school filled with hardcore bogans and adrenaline junkies, music and writing is a huge escape for me i am learning piano, so when I stumbled upon one of your songs on youtube I immediately wanted to hear more. From your spontaneously witty lyrics to your ridiculously catchy tunes. absolutely fantastic. this is one of the very few sober kids from Belmont saying two thumbs up :)
Alicia ( TIM MINCHIN STALKER ) on Thursday, 26 March 2009

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE and a million zillion more "PLEASES!!" come back to The Powerhouse in New Farm in BRISBANE SOOOON!! xox

Hello Tim!I'm from Japan. I've been a big fun of you for almost 1 year. First of all, i saw the So Live DVD with my friends from Saudi Arabia and Austria. English is not my mother tang, so normally I don't laugh with any English comedy, but On that day we've watched So Live, oh my god i burst into laughter! Since then, I watch the DVD everytime I get depressed. and Oh! I was also in UWA last year to study English, so I feel like you're much closer to our ordinaly world. Anyway, I love you! Keep going Timmy!
Heather on Thursday, 26 March 2009
Hi Tim, Last night on Spicks and Specks you sang from a book about body movement and God. Did you get to keep it? If so, can I please borrow it. I would of course send it back. Or could you please let me know the details so I could try to find it. I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
Shunit on Wednesday, 25 March 2009
Tim, Just wanted to say you have big fans outside of English speaking countries. Since I first heard you in "The skeptics' guide" (and went through youtube to hear more) I keep telling people about you. Maybe if enough people here would hear about you, they will try your peace plan. After all - "we don't eat pigs...". :) Appreciation from the middle east, Shunit

Caught your show in Brisbane on Saturday and thought it was delicious - intelligent, thought-provoking and, of course, screamingly funny. Loved the 'Ginger' song, as a red-head it was nice to hear something positive rather than the usual abuse - go you funky ginge! You have an awesome talent Tim, am looking forward to the next instalment. p.s. my boyfriend thinks you are moonlighting as Kram from Spiderbait

Hmmm... Reading through the comments here there is a shocking amount of people who say 'ur' instead of the good old fasioned 'You're' (I read at least 2.. Then I got bored) What's happened to English? To it's multitude of verbs and vowels and un-necessary consonants? They are all being replaced by txt spk and I'm not even going to start on the little yellow smiley faces that piss me off so much tz a md wrld "Its a mad world!"

Greetings Mr Minchin :D, Just thought I'd try dropping a line in the vain hope you might possibly see it before it eclipsed by dozens of other comments all praising your greatness (rightly so I do feel). I'm fairly certain that I'm basically repeating what all of your lovely fans have already said in that I very much admire (wow, how posh does that sound...) your work. I was recently introduced by a good friend of mine (who quite frankly I would happily marry I'm so grateful...and it's legal now, so nyah) and have now converted many other friends and my dad. Who is buying me tickets to Norwich for my 21st Birthday. Best present ever in all honesty :D. In the back of my slightly neurotic little mind I've always wanted to be a writer/performer myself and though I cannot hope to be as talented and popular as you in the future, I proudly doff my imaginary cap and say thank you for making me actually do my university essay, because failing my first year would rather put a spanner in the works... Apologies for the long message. Have I mentioned that you are truly fabulous by the way?

Yes! I agree with Mia Kambestad. It would be great if you came to Norway. I saw you for the first time at The Graham Norten show this Christmas and have been a huge fan since. You are not as huge here as you are in England, but if you do some shows here in Norway, I am absolutly sure the whole country will love you. I know you are very busy with your tour and everything, but i would do anything to get a ticket if you came to Norway:)

Luke Ryan from NZ on Sunday, 15 March 2009
Hey Tim, I just wanted to say your are everything a good artist should be; humorous, intelligent, talented and honest. THANK YOU for doing what you do, you are seriously a credit to a generation of music and comedy that is just a big wank thats tailored to the idea that people are too stupid to be free thinking individuals. Though not as ruthless, I rate your intelligent humour and out of the box comedy thinking along the lines of Bill Hicks and Sam Kinison except your stuff when it gets serious, just as fast gets dumbed down to suit your audience which I understand you need to do to be successful i guess. I'd like to see more of Tim Minchin the stand up comedian, not so much Tim Minchin the clown. Yes we live in dark times and we've got to take things less serious but I personally reckon you waist some of that spark you got... Sorry maybe its just me, there isn't really many GOOD comedians, there are joke blowing clowns, but no comedians like you sir. Thank you again for the MANY laughs!!

I did a bit of youtube research and picked up some tickets to your Auckland show on Thu night. Despite some very high expectations you delivered. The 5 people I went with all agreed you were utterly brilliant - start to finish! I particularly enjoyed Storm (the beat poem), the Ginger Song, the Good Book, though it was all exceptional. I admire you for having the guts to perform your material - especially in the US, where it is obviously a minority view. You are truly inspirational. Boo sucks to Phil Doust!

I just wanted to say I can't wait until you come to Cambridge. It doesn't really seem like the type of place you'd come as it is pretty fucking boring (not trying to put you off) and at the moment I believe I one of the very few people with kind of crazy and messy hair and that wears freakish amounts of eyeliner but it will be great to have you here. It's gonna be awesome going to see you. Thanks, Kate x

You are amazing. I loved your song that contains the words 'fuck i love boobs though'... now being so taken by how wonderful this song made me feel, i did not catch the name... I am not a fucking idiot who doesnt listen to you (trust me, i was listening) but is "Fuck I Love Boobs Though" the name of that song or just some of the words? Your intelligence astounds me (i had to look up the word 'astound'- I am using my best effort to speak your... language?), and I think your shows are wicked (well... fucking insane, excuse me, i said think-i know). Highly entertaining, love comedy that makes ya think, and puts so many of peoples quirky norms into a context of reality that makes for quality hilarity. BRILLIANT. Keen on seeing you here in NZ again soon. thanks

bevin on Sunday, 8 March 2009
tonight i made you some cupcakes!! some are vanilla and some are chocolate. i messed up a bit with the decorating, so what was supposed to be big bird and superman now look like some sort of diseased road carnage. but i tried one and they are very very tasty. however, since i won't be traveling to australia for at least a few years (in which time they'll have gone very stale...but possibly still edible if you have a strong stomach)....you should come to toronto, canada and play a gig here. and i can bring you these tasty cupcakes that i made just for you. please hurry before the icing gets too dry and crusty.
Lauren on Saturday, 7 March 2009

Hey there Tim, the Edinburgh Festival 2008 brought you to our (me + boyfirend) consciousness. We were absoulutely grateful for the on-train random encounter with one of the festival's producers who deeply recommeded you (just before the "Aging is Amazing" music cabaret.. but nevermind that :) ). And later on, thanks to Youtube we kept you live in our minds (Though I have to say it's not as vivid as live show). We loved everything, and especially enjoyed The Ginger song, If I didn't have you and Storm. Later (through the website I already advertised too much) we also greatly enjoyed You grew on me, The guilt song and many more. We also liked The Peace Anthem (and here I come to the excuse/point of this comment) though I have to tell you that Israely Jewish people consume lots of pigs, but we really need this kind of refreshing approach to the conflict. Please come to perform here (Israel), we truely love you.

I love how they all demands on you... "Don't cut your hair, put '____' on your next CD, tell me whether '___', come play songs on the piano at my house" I also think it's funny that they say, I'll see you at your show on '___' like you're supposed to pick them out of the audience and wave, without having seen them before. I just wanted to let you know how much I love you: I hate teenage girls who scream at concerts with a passion. I will be screaming at your show on the 20th of march (very ashamedly). I would bring cookies along if I thought there was any chance you'd get them. I WILL bring cookies, and throw them at the stage from the gallery seats. You're my favourite. Ever. I'll see you on the 20th =D. (couldn't help myself) kthnxbye.
Laura C on Friday, 6 March 2009
In relation to the hair thing, I dreamt yesterday that you had cut your hair off and had bad 80's highlights! It was all a bit wrong and confirms that it should always be long and fabulous!! The dream included a farm with ducks and geese and was a bit confusing!! So, thats my thoughts on the matter!
Arryn on Friday, 6 March 2009
You're so hot and a brilliant comedian/songster/pianist/etc... My Husband introduced me to you just today, and I can't keep my eyes/ears off of you. So, a big "hello" from Canada, keep us laughing and amused. Oh yeah, you really are hot, I'd totally do you (if I wasn't married of course, and if you were into me that way, and as long as it wouldn't change things between us, and as long as you know I'm not looking for a commitment right now, and as long as you really do have a ten foot cock. You ARE God....right?)
MonaSmith on Friday, 6 March 2009
I second Linzy. Shell suits are the future and long hair and eyeliner is so over!
Liza (wickedlibrarian) on Friday, 6 March 2009
Shell suits, curly hair, and oooh, gold necklaces? Add some bling, it'll be perfect. xx
sophie on Friday, 6 March 2009
i've been reading comments do not cut off your hair and keep the make up your fit dude don't change that i'm rather upset as i can't see your gig this year, i'll only be 15 and they said i had to be 16 :( i'm not too impressed anyhow keep the fit hair and make up i love it ;) xxxxxxxxx
Linzy on Friday, 6 March 2009
Personally I think you should cut all your hair off, let it grow curly and natural, stop wearing make-up and start wearing shell suits. I suspect it will only be me who's of this opinion though... x
Manx-Michelle on Friday, 6 March 2009
Hope you're well xx
kelly on Friday, 6 March 2009
P.P.S I agree with Lauren X don't cut your hair or do away with your eyeliner! He's just jealous that he can't pull that look off! x
kelly on Friday, 6 March 2009

I have been awake for over 48 hours and am in desparate need of sleep; and yet, for some reason, all I find myself doing is listening to Not Perfect and Darkside repetitively. Well, not really just "some reason".... I have only just discovered your music and am amazed by your talent. But I don't want to sit here and tell you how talented you are, because that (I'm would hope) is the standard comment you recieve on this website. I really wanted to ask about/discuss the "character" you have created for performances. I was disapointed to read that you had created a character at all; I had hoped that you went on stage as simply Tim, rather than changing your own personality to better suit the public. It seems that much of this character comes from your own personality (not that I know you at all, and I swear I don't stalk you or anything..............*awkward pause*), but I suppose it would be very tiring for someone to be that clever 24 hours a day. I am merely wondering how much of a character this "stage Tim" really is. Regardless, I wish you well in your career. I will give whatever assistance I can in the Canadian market..... but my goals are only selfish: please do a Canadian tour! I would really enjoy attending a live show. Cheers

I've been meaning to write this since my son and I saw your show in Edinburgh last year, and subsequently at the Bloomsbury Theatre. I am a 50 something lawyer and opera singer, he is at Manchester university studying classics - we are both passionate followers of both comedy and music. "Genius" is a word devalued by over-use, but it is completely appropriate to describe your multiple talents. We eagerly await your UK tour this autumn - thank you for the joy you have given us in the performances we have seen and in the 2 CDs which we have (which I have pretty much memorised - I am so going to sing Inflatable You as an encore at my next recital.....) PLEASE put out more of your stuff on CD - such as the Ginger song, and the awesome 9 minute "White walls, white cat" beat poem. Or to put it more succinctly, in the words of Mikki above, "Love ya Tim".
Angela on Tuesday, 3 March 2009
Ah, Tim-Has it really been almost a year since your stay just barely Off-Broadway? We're missing you much here in the U.S. Looking forward to your triumphant return!
