Hey Tim, Just had to say how amazing you were in Glasgow last night! I love how you dealt with the musical heckler - and the emo bear!! I haven't laughed so much in ages and then the Christmas song kept me warm and happy inside for the cold drive home in the fog... Can't wait to come and see you at the Festival next year x

Amy Laura on Sunday, 30 November 2008

Hey Tim. I was at your Glasgow show last night, and it was amazing. Thank you so much, i had such a blast. Your 9min beat poem about 'Storm' was breath-taking. I dont know anyone else who could do that so well. Looking forward to seeing you again soon. and Looking forward to seeing ur show at the edinburgh festival next year. Thank you agian

Natalie on Sunday, 30 November 2008

Hi. I know this is really late, but I saw you in Huddersfield on the 20th, and you were AMAZING! It definitely solidified my friend's love for you (it was her birthday present, you see...even though her birthday was on the 28th of October, but nevermind, it made up for the crappy presents from Shamie...even if I wrote her an I.O.U because I wasn't sure whether to trust her with the tickets). She only started listening to you when you were on the Secret Policeman's Ball this year (I've been a fan for quite a big longer than that), now she loves you more than ever. Glad we missed seeing Michael McIntyre live now (my mum was going to get us tickets to see him live, but we were too late). Really glad, in fact. Ecstatic. Bye. *waves*

DrPoko on Sunday, 30 November 2008

No I'm not the "Show me Heaven" guy. He has a much better singing voice than me (if a rather limited repetoire.) Strange that Tim didn't know the song. Guess that three word surreal musical heckles are the hardest to formulate an instant put down for. Tim just had to laugh like the rest of us. Show was top. I still have a smile on my face now.

Great movie! Hi Tim and fans: I just saw the movie "Rock and Roll Nerd" in Melbourne: its great: like reality TV but really seems real... for those who are kind of Tim fans it may convert you to a fanatic (and also maybe make you forget he's not just one of your mates). It also inspired me to buy tickets for the Aussie tour in 2009: I really hope there's some of the songs from the movie. I know we can see them on the DVD, but surely everyone wants to see So Rock or Rock and Roll Nerd live!!

Iain on Sunday, 30 November 2008

Loved the gig in Glasgow and I have heeded your words on saving the environment by reducing the use of plastic; as me and my friend bought one CD between us and shared it by the much more ecofriendly medium of mp3. I do too really like Christmas.

spanglers on Sunday, 30 November 2008

Drpoko, You weren't 'that guy' were you? Tonight was absolutely amazing! I am more in awe of Tim than I was before and I didn't think that possible. Did he come out to sign stuff? I had to run off so missed seeing him up close. Bah!

DrPoko on Sunday, 30 November 2008

Show me heaven!

Gayatri on Saturday, 29 November 2008

Hey Mr. Minchin! Proper delayed, just wanted to say i had the MOST AMAZING night at the Glee club, birmingham a couple of weeks ago, and thankyou for being so lovely and coming out and having photos taken with us all afterwards, I'm 21 and I felt like a 12yr old seeing her first boyband aha! Seriously good stuff, loved Storm, I love Jesus, and Confessions in Three Movements :) So Fucking Rock gets me through these down days and english winters, cheers me up no end! (yeah i bought it in the end, aswell as so live) you're amazing, wanted to go see you in Oz next year but i'm just a poor art student, cant wait till you come back! Hope tour goes well, have a heaps good christmas/new year, much love xxx

Emma on Saturday, 29 November 2008

Hey Tim, I saw you a week ago now (which i can't believe) i'm still giggling to myself how funny you were! Also i brought my mum and while she wasn't sure how she was going to react to you sense of humour you may be pleased to no she laughed alot and also she you were a very clever man which i'm sure you aware as she gave you a kiss after the show MAS! and i just wanted to say thank you again for signing stuff and letting me have a picture with your gorgeous self (i love it!) and thank you for being so bloody lovely it really ment alot! lots of love to you Tim x-xx-x

Vikki on Saturday, 29 November 2008

Dear Tim, I wish to inform you that, thanks to the bag you autographed for me, my hiccups went away. I appreciated your concern. The staff at the Norwich Playhouse are helpful, but alas, don't sing songs about redheads and Australian Christmasses. I hope your wife and daughter are well! Fondest fuzzy regards, Vikki xxx (the random quasi-Aussie with hiccups and an ale drinking habit)

Steph on Saturday, 29 November 2008

Hi Tim/person in charge of reading these for Tim I am one of your many faceless fans (though, it's easier to call me 'Stephanie') and I'm afraid I'm only writing this because a)I'm bored and b)it sounds like I'm going to get a reply email, which would make a friend of mine who is really obsessive about you, to the point of being step away from stalking you (thats mostly a joke), really jealous So besides that less-than-comendable motive (by most standards, anyway), I'm just gonna say I cannot wait to go to your show in Brisbane next year! if it's anything as good as So Rock, anyway. 'tis all very funny (obviously, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this) and I'm a big fan of the creepy pervert smile... SO...let's see if I get an email, I guess...

Oscar on Saturday, 29 November 2008

TIM. Please make Storm available somehow!! I have been desperate to hear it again since the T.Wells show. Good Luck in the Land of Oz.

Brian Damage on Saturday, 29 November 2008

Dude when are you gonna be in The republic of ireland??????

Amy on Friday, 28 November 2008

I love your songs and piano playing. They are pure genius. I couldn't get tickets to your tour. I live in Wales so you could go to the Hay festival or Cardiff or somewhere. Anyway i think you are awesome. x

Grace on Friday, 28 November 2008

Hi Tim, I first saw your work at the secret policeman's ball 2008, so I guess I haven't really been a fan for very long. My name is Grace and I am 15 years old, living in Britain. I am an intelligent (if I do say so myself) logical thinker who enjoys the arts and writes her own music. When I first heard you, I thought you were very funny and now I also see that you're like me in a number of ways. I used to have piano lessons when I was very small, but I disliked the discipline so I quit. Since then, I have taught myself to play piano by ear and have written some of my own songs - well, they're not technically songs if they have no lyrics are they? anyway, I understand completely something you said in an interview that piano was something you did while you were supposed to be doing your homework. I always do that. I also think I share your realistic outlook on life. Anyway, hope you have fun on the rest of your tour (I didn;t manage to get tickets in time) x

jocelyn on Friday, 28 November 2008

Does anyone know where i can find audio or video footage of the beat poem Storm?

cherry on Friday, 28 November 2008

Hey Timmin, Had a fabulous time on the 25th in Norwich - thank you. It was a wonderful finale to my birthday day. Second time seeing the show did not detract from it at all - in fact I got to appreciate the beat poem on a whole new level..And I was set to pondering the power of the open vowel in the Christmas Song... ahem.. If / when you come back to Norwich let me know - I'll point you in the direction of some better eateries (- for Matt's sake?). Hope there was birthday cake and big hugs waiting for you at home. Enjoy the rest of your bonkers schedule x

Dominick Chalkley on Thursday, 27 November 2008

Lady Lavin on Thursday, 27 November 2008

Dear Tim, after watching you throughout your you tube fame I feel I shall have to endevor to see you live, I have watched 'So Live' and frankly I was amazed I tend to agree with the 'Times' you really are the next big thing in musical comedy. I have continued my devotion and converted several friends who all now believe in the Ledgend that is Tim! I wish you all the best with your upcoming tour of America, I know you will be a sell out over there too. Kudos on your UK sell out tour and have fun in London. I am on the look out for your next UK tour (also guarenteed to be a sell out, as you are, without a doubt, a huge hit!)I will be amongst the first of your eagre fans purchasing tickets. So good luck, Have fun and most importantly, keep those feet happy! and I will see you when you return to the UK. x x x

ODE TO TIM Your dad may be a doctor But you can heal lives too, And therein lies the clue… Mirth’s opposite to blue… And you lay your mirth like a shag pile To cover my bare boards Yes, there’s magic in your chords Yes, pure magic in your chords And medicine in your words Now my cell’s nice and padded And it’s all thanks to you So here’s to you, Brother Tim (Coz you’re someone else’s fella) I’m also much too old for you But if that wasn’t so… If I was born in the 1990’s Instead of ‘58 I wouldn’t hesitate No, I wouldn’t hesitate To get you on a date ‘Coz your so f**king Rock

Tim, you are a genius, laughed so much and had one of the most fabbity nights of my life....hope the hubbie isnt reading this! Please come back to Leeds very soon, I am having withdrawl symptons already. It was fab to meet you, such a beautiful man in every sense of the word. Are those your real eyes? they are an amazing colour and arent you tall!!! Have a great last few uk gigs, Im sure you will go down a storm darling. lots of love Deborah xxx

Vicky and Beth on Tuesday, 25 November 2008

Just got back from Norwich - we were ready for this and you didn't disappoint Tim!! Absolutely fantastic night - so glad you did the whole 'If I didn't have you' with the wiggle thing - we love the wiggle!! Also thoroughly enjoyed the 9-minute poem and thought it was going to lead into Take my wife, hahahahhaaaaaa! But it didn't. When you come back to the UK, if you're not so HUGE that you can sell out the Albert Hall or Wembley, please come to Ipswich instead of Norwich!! The Wolsey Theatre here is so much smarter than the Playhouse - it even has a trapdoor so you could disappear and reappear; imagine the fun you can have with that!!! And you could stay with us and we'll bake cookies for you..... and a full English breakfast! We love you Tim - you fab, funny ginger!! (And yes, I do have the right!)

I just watched Tim's "so fucking rock" DVD and it was sensational. Absolutely brilliant! Tim, the musical and comic genius, delivers every time and this time he had a big package. Great buy, worth every penny.

Harry Bentley on Monday, 24 November 2008

Hi again Tim, i hae signed your guestbook before but this repeat comment regards two important things and they are in order of importance: 1. Can you unveil if and when you will be releasing "Ready for this?" on CD or DVD as it would make a brilliant christmas present for my friend Bernard, and for myself of course 2. Its November 24th! Happy 1st Birthday to little Violet! Best wishes from a complete internet stranger kiddo

Amazing gig at the Glee last week. We were all in stitches all night (esp. as 2 of our party are..... gingers!) I had to fight back tears at your last song (how deep are you?) as my baby girl is only 3 and the next one is due in 5 weeks. Emotions running high AND I need some white wine! Keep up the good work.

Hi Tim, Thanks for the great show in Huddersfield on the 20th November. I hate to say this but I had never heard (!!!!) of you until that night. Five of my students took me along and gave me a thorough Minchin education. I'd like to know if you will ever play in Hong Kong - that's where my family live, so they can enjoy your performance as much as I did. Keep up the amazing work. I know I'll be seeing more of you in the future.xxx

Björn or Bjoern on Saturday, 22 November 2008

Hey Tim. When are you going on an official European Tour, and playing a kickass gig at, I don't know, China Theatern in Stockholm, Sweden? I think you'd do great here. We need to see more singing comedians.

Emma Fletcher on Saturday, 22 November 2008

Hello Tim, How are you? Good i hope. Amber on Saturday, 22 November 2008

Haha, great reply to "disappointed fan", I guess that answers the question "how do you deal with rude fans?" Really annoys me how people like him/her have the nerve to critisise your work like that when there are people like me who would literally give and arm and a leg to come and see you live. Moaning aside, I think you're amazing. I'm sure you will be happy to learn that all 14 of my fish are now called Tony, although sadly they are yet to grow feet... Can't wait until my birthday when I will be getting both of your DVD's, only 2 weeks to go. love and cookies... xxx

G'day Tim, I heard the Christmas Song (white wine in the sun) the other day. It's great. Got me feeling a little sentimental about my own aussie christmas's. Is there anywhere I can purchase, download or get my hands on a copy of the song? It's not on either of your albums is it? Keep up the top stuff.

Joshua McDonnell on Tuesday, 18 November 2008

Amazingly funny and astoundingly cute, two great personality traits which you host in a fasion of which should be a closly guarded secret. And yes im a guy, not gay but for you maybe i would think about it. You are a true performer and great comidian, totaly obsesed with you at the moment, keep up the good work mate. P.S My favourite piece from you has got to be "Inflatable You" listened to uncountable amounts of times whilst bored at school.

Gary Aged 37 & a half. on Tuesday, 18 November 2008

listen to Tim's "Not Perfect" and his classical training becomes glaringly obvious. I found the piano within this piece emotive and moving. To induce this reaction is a talent indeed. The comedy of the song arrived with equal impact and left my poor mind trying to fathom whether I should be laughing or crying ;-) You may not be a Rock God yet Tim but you have blended classical and comedy, melodey and mirth in a way I find incredibly entertaining unique. There are many rock gods but only one Tim Minchin. The above sounds far to serious for me so here is a little joke to readdress the universal balance, the Yin and Yang if you will. Old married couple are kissing with vigour when the hubby stops, looks his darling wife in the eye (for she had just the one!) and utters "I think I have swallowed your bubble gum" to which she replies "No....I have bronchitis!" You're gagging right now aint'cha (",)

It was a pleasure to meet you after the show and shake your hand. My beloved Denise loves that little shimmy you do during “If I didn’t have you”. When you’re back in the UK we will definitely come and see you again. best wishes for the future And you do so Fucking Rock Tim

We had an amazing time seeing you live in Cambridge last Saturday. Like with most happiness-inducing events (like my own wedding!)I am having trouble recalling the details now, even though at the time the experience seemed to be playing out slowly to heightened senses. I guess I will have to add a TM DVD to my Christmas list. I do remember the 9 minute-beat poem sounding incredible. Is this likely to be available on a purchasable format anytime soon? (Or is it already?) Thank you

Chloe on Monday, 17 November 2008

Thanks for the lovely reply. Definitely coming to MICF with Mum.

Amy on Saturday, 15 November 2008

Hey Tim. I haven't seen you live, but saw you 'kinda' live at the Secret Policemans Ball earlier this year. since then I have been obsessed with you! I've told everyone I know about you! So my question is.... When the hell are you coming to York??

So Laura on Saturday, 15 November 2008

Hey Tim! Me and my friend came to see you last week (we bought kinder eggs??) and just wanted to say thanks for hanging around afterwards! It was me mates birthday and it made her night! We're even coming back again on the 25th! SO Excited! Thanks again! Laura xXx

Rosy on Saturday, 15 November 2008

Glad I'm not the only one who takes the Starbucks red cups as a signal that Christmas has officially begun! Coincidentally sat a few tables away from you at Ask in High Wycombe before the show. Restrained myself from hysterical fan-like behaviour and staring, but it's a shame you came back for the jacket you'd forgotten, as otherwise I might have been able to steal a really class piece of memorabilia! :) Thanks for an ace show - and well done with the random heckler! 'Yes... I had a similar joke, only better'. Smooth.

Kate on Saturday, 15 November 2008

Really enjoyed your 6Music interview, but you so fail at plugging the DVD! Although it's nice to hear an artist interviewed who doesn't manage to get in "Yes Judy, I do have a new book out; that's "Pointless Navel Gazing", which you can buy exclusively from Waterstones, priced at £12.99, from Tuesday the 17th....". Lauren did an extra plug for 9 Lessons and Carols after your interview, even though 21st has apparently sold out too. I had great fun at the Edmonton gig (loved the bear!), but someone really should give that piano decent burial. It sounds like High Wycombe was hilarious; hope Cambridge tonight goes just as well. Kx

Yasmine on Saturday, 15 November 2008

Saw the show at the Millfield Theatre, Edmonton t`other evening. Wow! How come I`ve not heard of you before?! A cross between Eddie Izzard and Russel Brand, but better. Genious.

Dennis on Friday, 14 November 2008

Just back from the show in High Wycombe and we LOVED it. The sheer musicality and the lyrical density was pure genius and that's in addition to being damn funny. Apart from a few youtube clips (which, let's face it weren't as cute as watching kittens waking up) this is the most exposure we have had to your comedy until now. But the show has inspired us to work our way through your ouvre (but we promise to be gentle). Storm was a particular highlight. I will definitely be quoting from that liberally in future to put the "new agers" in their place. It's somehow telling that the people who really make us laugh, and who therefore really understand the cosmic joke (such as yourself and Dara O'Braian) are also those who have no truck with the hokum that is the stock in trade of the mystics and god botherers.

Franco on Friday, 14 November 2008

Shit. I always discover new comedians I like when it's too late to get tickets. You're in Cambridge tomorrow, and I only started listening today? God obviously hates me. :

marc on Friday, 14 November 2008

Hey Tim saw you in Worcester brilliant - you made me cry with laughter I just don't know how I didn't find you before 9 minute beat poem is genius on a stick and as for if i didn't have you.... but the real thing is - my dad (dead) - sounds harsh but nontheless true- he was a scientist - so I kinda grew up reading new scientist and having a healthy/ skeptical attitude to loads of stuff because he would just calmly point out what a load of old bollocks it was and why - well i dont know how many times you hit the same nail on the head and put it into perfect words as much a philosophy as an act! Then i chatted to you afterwards and you're a great bloke you deserve all the success you will undoubtedly get now go and get the Daily Mail...... they deserve it

Beau Newell on Friday, 14 November 2008

My boyfriend and I saw you last night in Worcester and you rocked (WHOO)... is that too fangirl... Any way, looking forward to seeing you again. Until then the image of a mature man refusing to dance, then dancing in a bear suit will cheer me up... oooh and the bit about sleeping babies, soooo funny.

Mikki on Thursday, 13 November 2008

Came to see you in Worcester last night - arrived in a foul mood and left happy. Top show. Had the CD playing in the car on the way to work and arrived in a much less crap mood than yesterday....

olgg on Wednesday, 12 November 2008

I love what You are doing (and Yourself a bit too I guess), and if You'd get cloned and sold in shops, I'd definately get one of You for myself. ^^ I wonder if You'll ever have a concert in Poland...

Thank you for what was a wonderful evening in Swindon, culture capital of the universe, on 8th November. I've never stalked a celeb before for their autograph and despite my embarrassing starstruck-nerdy-weirdo-freak behaviour, you were an utter gent. My daughter and I won't forget your show in a hurry. Come back soon... PLEASE!

Hey hey you, it's me again... well angry (feet) appears to be down (gulp) so I need me a fix somehow - my excuse and I intend to stick to it. Coming to see you in Edmonton on Thursday with the fella, been rather looking forward to it - my first Tim show! Yay for the liveness and rockness of it all. Got a little pressie for you if you don't mind, nothing major, I just hope it goes down well. Nearly put my size 7's in it thanks to our Kirsty. Am munching on a now redunant kinder egg as I type mas. Anyway new little pressie rocks so much more than a crappy kindie anyway. Just hope you like it :s I do worry myself over the silly stuff... Erm, I made a (canvas, naturally) bag too, which I hope you'll have chance to peruse given that my house now resembles the aftermath of a major incident in a sequin factory. So yeah, till Thursday Mr Rock God xx PS. So Fucking Rock so fucking does. Nice work Mister xx

Isaac on Tuesday, 11 November 2008

Hey, i never got a reply. Well here is nearly all iv got writen for the presentation im doing. "Tim Minchin is a famous Australian comedian; know for his musical talents with a piano and vocal singing talent. Nearly all of his comedy sketches contain him playing the piano to his own lyrics. He writes his own lyrics which are the ‘joke and punch line’ to his comical side. He describes himself as a musical artist, but he accepts his lyrics are funny. Born in Perth Australia, 7 October 1975, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Theatre. Then he went on to receive an Advanced Diploma in Contemporary Music in 1998. From the age of 8 he has played the piano, but at 11 he gave up because he didn’t like being tied down to a single hobby and he didn’t like having the discipline. After his brother became a guitarist, Tim suddenly regained his interest to the piano and continues to practice and play today. He first started off as a mixed comedian, he would create songs with comical lyrics, and songs with serious world issues. He composed all his comical songs onto one CD and hoped it would get rid of comedy from his life and be a serious writer. He then had great feedback from this CD and realised his future was to be a comedian. He still writes today about important matters, but in a funny manner. His favourite performance to sing, play and send out a message to the audience is called “Peace Anthem for Palestine.” He states in the song, that “the reason why Jews and Muslims don’t get on is not because of religious problems, but because they don’t have an anthem that brings them together” Lyrics for this song are, “If you don’t eat pigs, and we don’t eat pigs, it seems its been that way forever. If you don’t eat pigs, and we don’t eat pigs, why not not eat pigs together?” He is unique for going on stage barefoot, as it makes him feel more comfortable. Very thick eye liner which helps to make his face more dramatic He also has wild crazy hair and always wears a formal black suit. A preferred topic of his to write/sing about is religion. As an atheist he feels very strongly about religion, and prefers to make people laugh about it. A common subject to perform about is religion, as an Atheist, Tim has strong view points and expresses them in a funny manor. He is also very consistantly known to use strong language and well educated words.

Does anyone want to fly me out to Oz next April so I can see Tim live again. Pretty please! From a poor student :( x

Deanna on Tuesday, 11 November 2008

Well done you on being really rather good! So good in fact, that I have forsaken the long awaited Mighty Boosh gig of the same evening to come see you instead (that'll be Glasgow, 29th November). Madness? I think not! I for one am looking forward to hearing more of your thoughts on.....stuff in general actually. I hope to be able to put your DVD on my shelf at Xmas, beside Eddie Izzard, Fry & Laurie, Bill Bailey, Spaced, and Black Books. I think there's room and I think you'll be right at home. What say you to that, Tim of Minchin? :-)

Michelle_N ...again. on Tuesday, 11 November 2008

Hello =D I bet you're getting pretty sick of hearing from me. Oh well, that's what you get for having several different places for writing comments. You have only yourself to blame. JUST A QUICK NOTE! I'm coming to see you on the 22nd december, but I have a surprise. Although it will be ruined if you snoop around the Angry (Feet) forums too closely. So don't. Very excited about it, and glad I get to drag my siblings along (although my sister is more interested in shopping and my brother will probably slap you on the back and half knock you out at the end of the night. He's bloody tall/big/strong/rugby playerish. You have been warned.) x

Mark van Til on Tuesday, 11 November 2008

Hey Tim, I just wanted to say you are an amazing musician and comedian, I am glad my swedish friend mentioned your existance to me. Thank you for some greats laughs, and helping me through a few difficult days through your talent. Mark van Til, The Netherlands.

Just wondered if the mad woman heckling you was a setup?? ;) It wasn't me ...honest! Looking forward to your next tour and your shameless plugging has worked - Xmas pressies for friends & family now sorted!! Thanks again for a great night >

Hey Tim :) I saw you last Friday in Swindon, front row, brought the whole family along (bright green hoody). I liked the Taboo song, I just found it on youtube from the secret policeman's ball. I like that you have since added in the extra "only a ****** can call another . . ." line with different pronunciation. I also think that youtube doesn't do you justice *hint* everyone go buy a ticket! I found you through youtube, so pros and cons. The encore christmas song was sweet, I cried a bit, I'll try to blame that on hormones. I also like Not Perfect, it really means something to me. Anyway good luck for the rest of the tour. Ohh loved it when you said "this song needs a boot" quite random.

Jill on Monday, 10 November 2008

Hi Tim, I've only just started listening to your songs, after I heard you on the secret police man's ball. They make me laugh so much, and your song "Rock 'n' Roll nerd" just sums up my life. If you ever feel like coming to Nottingham and playing, please do =D you'll be greatly welcome.

Sabina on Monday, 10 November 2008

Hi Tim, Was introduced to you by my good friend Anna. Caught your show when I was in Edinburgh and thought it was great. Really gutted you're not coming to Nottingham on the tour so I can spread the Minchin word x

Kate on Sunday, 9 November 2008

Thank you so much for a lovely evening at Warwick Arts Centre, I haven't laughed so much for years and you are an even better piano player than my Dad. I was the fat old lady you gave a hug to and allowed your photo to be taken with. You have made a grumpy old granny VERY happy. Thanks.....

Amber on Sunday, 9 November 2008

Hi, I just jumped onto the site that "sells" your canvas bags.. the bags have disappeared from MEM's site. I was hoping that they were still there - what other thing would you give a 5 year old Tim for a library bag - as he starts school for the first time?! Especially when he steals my canvas bag all the time.. Are there any other place that sells the canvas bags? Are you bringing them on tour with you next year? Ta.

cailin on Sunday, 9 November 2008

hey tim. i have dedicated my feet to you. every time i look at them i am reminded of you and tony. MAS. &, i cannot wait to see you next year in good ol' adelaide. love you and your work heaps! xx

Was at your gig in Swindon on Friday and wanted to show my appreciation- you were/are brilliant! Haven't seen anyone so talented and entertaining for donkey's (maybe ever??). My husband was one of the 2 guys at the back who were so hysterical during your "I love boobs though" number that they couldn't breathe. Excellent! Would've told you how awesome you are when you signed the cd but was too shy, so I'm doing it now. Ta muchly, haven't enjoyed myself so much on a night out for yonks.

Jonathan on Sunday, 9 November 2008

Life changing would be an overstatement but it was certainly a damn fine show in Runcorn!

Rachel on Friday, 7 November 2008

Hey Tim! Thank you very much for rocking Runcorn last night! I couldn't believe it when I found out you were playing a town near me - I couldn't wait for your gig to arrive and what a fantastical show it was! Cheers for sticking around after the show to meet everyone, I know I appreciated it - and I am sure everyone else did (you even liked my red leather coat!). Hope the rest of the tour goes well - and please come back soon!!!!!!!

Lorna on Friday, 7 November 2008

I have no idea why you ended up in sunny runcorn but Im very glad you did. Meeting you was class too obviously and the pictures my phone background like forever now =].I hope you enjoyed your maltesers and pizza if you did get some. It was really cute though because as we were waiting for a lift, everyone that came out was soo happy including us. And they all thought you were "V.v.deep" so your last song worked well. I really hope you come back one day, as I'll definitely be there. Thanks for such a good night x

Michaela on Friday, 7 November 2008

I still can't quite work out how on earth you ended up here in sunny Runcorn (with our many diverse pizza shops) but I am so glad you did. I can't think of a superlative that doesn't sound a bit OTT, so let me just say that until science provides us with evidence of a god I shall worship you instead. Now I am off to kneel in front of my Sanyo and listen to the gospel of So Rock. Amen.

Gary aged 37 & a half. on Friday, 7 November 2008

I am sure I am not alone in asking the question why am I here? what is the reason for my insignificant exhistance on this small blue revolving orb floating in the inconcievable expance of the universe, the centre of which is located somewhere in New York? Then Tim Minchin jumps down from the stage at Runcorn, sits in the seat next to you and admiringly strokes your neatly trimmed GINGER beard and suddenly you realise....He's taller than he appears on TV! Disarming, charming, talented and insiteful. Thank you sir. Have not laughed so hard since I saw my NHS pay rise.

Isaac on Friday, 7 November 2008

I do assure you, im not a crazy fan or stalker, but im doing fantastic in my research and education because youve replied to me, this is going towards my school work. Iv done the first half of the presentation about you, i was wondering if you would like to hear it and/or give me your approval, i guess if someone did a presentation about me, i would be interested to hear it. Just wanted to see if you want to hear it, if you do ill email it to you or post it here. Isaac

Thank you so much for your gig in Southampton on Sunday. I have tucked away "maybe you'll treat the theory of gravity with the same scepticism and float the fuck away" for future use because my drunken attempts at parties to persuade the devout of the wonders of evolution are often less than pithy. Don't you think the You Tube Lament ought to be on You Tube? I really enjoyed it, but now can't remember it at all because I've been humming the Canvas Bags song for three days.

Olivia on Wednesday, 5 November 2008

David on Tuesday, 4 November 2008

is it so wrong to love a man with a knife? i wouldn't ask but i mean cum on (me), when do you get the chance to ask these questions. and who are you to judge me, what have you done with your life that is so special, other than your constant comments on the current moral, ethical, political, racial, sexual, religious, factitious, scientific and humourous issues that we face in our 'modern society', in song format. Oh right, that is pretty amazing. Ermm, to summarise i love you, and sometimes too much, but other times not enough and all the times i can't touch you. please just carry on what you do and feel free to disregard this comment as and when you lose interest and/or consciousness xXx

*Sarah* on Tuesday, 4 November 2008

Allison's comment just made me giggle like a...well, I'm not sure what really. A schoolgirl? A perverted, middle-aged man? Perhaps both. I'm most tickled by the fear you may express if she ever meets you in person! She's very polite with her urges, though, which works in her favour...

Jazzamine on Tuesday, 4 November 2008

Hi again, just watched your Adam Hillsong on youtube !! Very entertaining. It's nice to be cheered up when you feel like crap. I've lost my voice and for the past few days i haven't been able to sing along to all of your wonderfully creative songs. I am so so so disappointed that i am not able to come and see you perform in london this month...well really it's not easy getting from the south east of England up to London when your only fifteen years old, have run out of money, have no-one to join you and have an over cautious mother who worries about things to much to let me come on my own to be honest !! :) I can't wait to get your DVD from HMV! I can imagine i will become very annoying for my mum when i play it over and over again turning up the volume just that little bit more everytime !!! :D You need to come back down to Brighton again :( I missed seeing you there aswell... god damn ticket office! I will be constantly checking the site for anything interesting and will most likely write something, even if it's just a hello, everytime i do. Oh by the way i think your daughter has the best name ever... that's whats i have always planned on naming my baby when i have one (not for years yet lol got my life to live first n all that jazz!!) Anyways best be off. I have to go and take the worlds most annoying dog for a walk !! Jaz.x.

Tim, you are the most beautiful creature i hae ever laid eyes on. It would be most wonderful to lay in a medow with you and make sweet, animal love to you. Adoringly yours. A.

Jacqueline on Tuesday, 4 November 2008

Dearest Tim, after watching you on Denton's show last night, I have the courage to step up and audition for Australia's Got Talent! All I ever wanted to do was sing - but never allowed. And I am a perfect child! I obey - oh buggar that rule - this old wrinkly female, old enough to be your grandmother, has finally learned it is the talent which your spirit drives, which allows you to find yourself. You have. I now have to. If you were my son, I would be SO PROUD of you. Wish I could sing! rofl! But for the first time in my life, my wee soul is going to do what it wanted. I am sure you will guide Violet in her chosen path.... as I think you are a very good guide with a wonderful woman by your side. Never lose that love.

Tali on Tuesday, 4 November 2008

Please come to Toronto. I will buy you a beer, burn a cross, and possibly adopt a kitten.

Hi Tim - once again, my husband and I saw our own thoughts and emotions reflecting back at us in another your songs. Your Christmas lullaby on Enough Rope - the perfect description of the Australian secular Christmas. PS - We've got a fish who always looks like he's just about to hop out of the pond and go for a walk. We call him Tony...

Joe Baker on Monday, 3 November 2008

Hi Tim, I saw you on the Secret Policeman's Ball and thought you were brilliant. Since then I've been on youtube most of the time and cannot stop laughing. It's even got to the point where I begin to quote your lines to myself and chukle haha. Your lyrics are awesome and (although I'm no expert) you piano skills are pretty amazing. You have gotta play in the south of England sometime, preferably in Porstmouth! Hope to see you soon, until then, best of luck. Joe

Natalie on Monday, 3 November 2008

Hello, this is really just a message to say thank you. Myself, my mum and my younger brother came and saw you at cheltenham last week. It was the 1st time we'd seen you live and i decided to 'treat' my family. That's actually a total lie. I'd seen your performance on the secret policeman's ball, found your website and seen you were performing at cheltenham. Ticket enquiries were made and then it was a case of, "Would you like to go out?" It was a totally selfish act on my part, but it's the most fun we've had together for a long time. And we laughed until we cried, and just plain cried at the encore. So thank you. As evenings go it's going to be damn hard to beat. Think you can do better next year? We'll be there. Thank you.

Jazzamine on Monday, 3 November 2008

Jayne on Monday, 3 November 2008

Hi Tim - I can’t keep my mind quiet; it’s babbling away when I should be thinking orderly thoughts, ones that will get me to work on time or out of the house with all my clothes the right way round. I blame Tony the fish and thank you for that. Tony’s been reading ‘Cosmicomics’, and chatting to Richard Dawkins. It turns out that feet were the least of it. You’ve left me wondering what happens if the impossible god is moved to the end of the narrative. You make me laugh too, of course. Actual lols, lots of them. I was too late to see you in Southampton, but just about got tickets for December. Can’t wait! So - and this is the point of this pointlessly long comment - thank you for doing what you do, and for what must be tiring work a lot of the time. It means I get to see your show soon, and I’m thrilled. Thank you!

Hi Tim, Came to see your show in Southampton last night - thought it was awesome - loved Storm. We bought your cd's & would like to buy your DVD too - was hoping you would have it on sale at the show. Do you know if it will work in English DVD players if I order it from Australia? Thanks x

Great show in Southampton on Sunday! The boyfriend and I just squeezed in on standing tickets and I'm so chuffed we did, and very much looking forward to Nine Lessons too. Anyhew, just wanted to say good luck with future gigs / work and the whole child rearing thing and thanks muchly for a great night. P.S. I know there's a 'don't get me started' warning, but I've just been reading the Yuletide Blog and... Lord of the Rings... necklace, what? (Ok, I'll admit I'm like a child. You tell me "don't touch", I'll be prodding before you know it, tell me "don't get me started" and frankly, you had it coming)

I just watched you on Denton as well. You look and speak like my brother. Same irreverent sense of humour. Hair. Look. He is a Melbourne writer. Check him out - Eric Dando, recently published novel OINK. Think you'll like it!

Hi ya - I just saw your interview with Andrew Denton. The 'lullaby' you sang was the most honest song I have ever heard. Completely free of censorship - the pure love touched my heart. Not sure if you have ever had this reaction at one of your shows but I was a blubbering mess on the sofa in front of the tv. Cant wait to see you in Melbourne next April. Love your work.

Dynamite show last night at Southampton, it was all I could do to contain the ever-so-slightly homoerotic fanboyism raging within myself when you spoke to me about The Interval Song's simmilarity to Mana-Mana. ("Spoke" is an exaggeration but cheers! It made my day) Keep up the awesome work, and thanks so much for coming to the area and delighting us peons with your mirth.

Hey Tim, Have only just discovered the wonder that is, well, you. Went to see you last Thursday at the Bloomsbury, (nice venue by the way, good choice) and may I say, a thoroughly good time was had by all! Really love your work! Peace and gloves!

Hi Tim, I've just 'discovered' you and am up ridiculously late watching all your clips on you tube...is that wrong? I feel like a stalker..and now I'm writing on here...shit! Would love to see you live but you're probably too famous already and tickets will be gone, I will try. Keep up the good work. I'm going to bed now...

Tim, awsome show in T.Wells! Just agreeing with what oscar said; hope you return to do another show. Love your confessions song, thought it was hilarious. Also got to say you have pure talent at the piano! I bought your CD and Canvas bag so you can buy the stuff you need! DW lol Cheers for a good night, Tom x

Hi Tim, would just like to say that your show in Tunbridge Wells last night was wonderful. Hilarious, thought provoking and moving. One of the best nights I can remember. Incidentally, your christmas song was just beautiful...tempted by releasing a christmas single?!? ;-) It would be amazing if you did. Also make sure the new stuff comes out, Storm was a phenomenal beat poem, and more than made up for my initial dissapointment over the lack of Mitsubishi Colt. I look forward to seeing you when you return to T.Wells, hopefully in the near future! Perhaps you will be in the big theatre next time, you deserve it! Toodelledoo, Oscar. p.s. Cant wait for the DVD coming out soon.

Hi Tim...not much going on today...except for the fact that I just booked front row tickets to one of your Melbourne shows! Not that it would make much of a difference to you, but to me - awestruck at your blurry-finger piano playing skills - this will absolutely blow my small mind. And it's only about 6 months away! And also, my mum found the email that you sent me ages ago - she was very touched at how lovely you are. As am I. Have a wonderful time on the rest of your tour! x
