You’ll never know me, but I’m so grateful for the miracle of your life. You supported me through a painful deconversion. You cheered me up in the midst of divorce. And tonight, as I let Matilda wash over me, you reminded me that fatherhood is an amazing privilege. Thank you for creating art and music. Thank you for championing the amazing wonder of the natural world: transcendence without magic. Thank you for everything. Never stop.

I found Tim's music when I was 12. I had just set up my very first Spotify account and it asked me about musicians I already liked to find new ones for me, I was at the time very narrow and specific about music, so the three artists I chose to calibrate this apps algorithm where Ben Folds, Ben Folds Five and, The Bens. Spotify immediately offered me, Tim Minchin and a bunch of edgy, silly and other such musicians who I'm sure were I search my liked music on Spotify I could list for you. But I think the thing that connected me to Tim at the time was his 2008 released drowned, that touch of seriousness made the satire and angst and humour of his other songs all the more impactful to me. I remember watching the YouTube premier video of I'll Take Lonely Tonight and then later Airport Piano and I was reminded by the sincerity of these songs why in the first place I had attached myself so strongly to Tim's music. I am incredibly drunk as I write this so apologies if it's utterly incomprehensible. Special thanks to autocorrect.

When are you coming back to London to perform? I have the most gorgeous 14 year old ginger headed boy who's having a bit of a tough time at school...as we all did! And Prejudice has made him smile a lot... I really want him to see you live but can't see any sign of UK tours :(

I enjoy doing really stupid Karaoke in the Butt Hutt at Lake Como Family Nudist Resort outside of Tampa, FL. I bet there would be a heck of a market for Karaoke versions Have you ever considered creating Karaoke versions of your songs. I'd sell my soul to sing Dark Side backed by the Heritage Orchestra. Thanks. Mike
