It was wonderful to see you in New York on August 25. I travel to see you figuring it was probably a once in a lifetime opportunity. But after seeing the crowd and how much your performance was enjoyed, I am hoping there will be more opportunities! Don’t be a stranger!

I was at your concert last night in Washington, DC. My husband died in 2016 and he loved you especially White Wine in The Sun (he was also on the spectrum AND a ginger!). We both discovered your talent together and he introduced me to Leonard Cohen and Hallelujah. Singing Hallelujah last night was probably one of the most profound moments in my life. Thank you. But please lay off the Burmese cats...

Loved the show in DC last evening. I'm coordinating DEI work at my middle school this year, and want to bring the embrace of complexity and human connection and "conservatism" into my work during this fraught time. I'm a musical theater composer/music director/teacher with ADHD and resonated deeply with the way you spoke, made music, and just generally expressed yourself. Your explanation of swing and "12th notes" was spot on, and I want to share it with my students. Also, I'm always to get involved with more musical theater work, so if you need a copyist/music assistant/anything help at all, let me know! Figured I'd shoot my shot here :) Thank you for sharing your songs and your self.

Thanks for the great show in DC last night. Having all of us sing Hallelujah with you was a once in a lifetime experience.

Have you any plans to come to the Nordics - specifically Oslo? Lots of English speakers here who would love to see you live. ❤️

Thank you!! Grateful you came all of the way to Minneapolis to perform and be present with us. Thank you for giving voice to so much of what I believe and bringing music and laughter to my life. You have made an indelible mark on my soul with your amazing talent and wit. ♡

Was at the concert tonight (Aug 20th) in Toronto and was overwhelmed by the absolute wonderfulness of Tim Minchin and the Toronto crowd. We really got along well, especially in the encore where the whole crowd joined in on a rendition of "Hallelujah" which was penned by a Canadian artist by the name of Leonard Cohen. An absolute pleasure the whole evening through being entertained by such a talented pianist. I'll never forget it!!

Just saw your show at Massey Hall in Toronto. Thoroughly enjoyed the lesson on swing. Hallelujah was inspiring and brought tears to my eyes. Funny man and fabulous pianist. Thank you for a wonderful time.

A warm welcome to you, Tim, from us Minchin’s living here in Canada. My daughter Jenn and I are looking forward to joining you at your Toronto show. Jenn currently plays Australian Football on Canada’s AFL National Women’s Team so our Minchin bloodlines connect. When people refer to distant relatives it appears, in our case, that the word distant only refers to the distance between our geographical locations! See you in a couple days!

There are moments in your life when you are immensely grateful to be the particular speck on the planet that you are... Floating in the womb of the theatre... with fellow floating travelers... bathed in the thoughts and the words and the notes and the memories and the (clinch) feelings... Last night in Dallas with you, Tim Minchin, was one such moment. After your sleepless night between Austin and Dallas, the Dallas show will probably be a blur to you, but my family and I will never forget what we experienced here together. Thank you from the depths of my heart for coming here and sharing your gifts and work.

My dad discovered Tim Minchin after I showed him "Prejudice," which he decided it was just fine, and--months later--my best friend showed him "Thank You God," which he loved beyond all measure. In fact he loved it so much that he came to show it to me, saying it was by "this funny Australian guy" who in fact did lots of songs my dad thought I'd like, including the particularly funny "Prejudice." Tim Minchin has been a big source of bonding for us ever since. Tim's song "White Wine in the Sun" is of particular significance to us as we discovered it when I was 21 and spending my very first ever Christmas away from my family, nearly 5,000 miles away. I had the most spectacular flu and was deliriously sick for two weeks which of course only improved the homesickness I felt. I awoke from the bleary, drug-induced haze one morning to a text from my dad: "My sweet, blue-eyed girl: when you're 21, and Christmas comes around, and you find yourself [5,000] miles from home, you'll know that me and your mum are waiting for you when you come, drinking white wine in the sun." I held onto that text until, weeks later, I could hold onto him and my mom in the arrivals section of Dulles International Airport. It got me--both of us really--through a long and difficult period of separation, and to this day, the song makes me tear up and means the world to us both. We are so beyond excited to see Tim soon at his Unfunny Evening in Washington, DC and wish to express our sincerest gratitude and appreciation for all the beautiful art we've been able to enjoy together because of him. We'd welcome you with some nice white wine, Mr. Minchin, but we think we'd get kicked out of the venue, so please know we're knocking back a glass (or a bottle) in your honor that night. Thank you very much. <3

Tim Minchin's music makes friends out of strangers. When I saw Tim's outstanding performance for the first time in Portland, Oregon (August 2024), I did not know I would be trapped forever in his eyes. His lyrics, soothing to my broken heart. Allowing me to feel happy for the first time in a very difficult time in my life. And I am tearing up typing these words... I love you, Tim. Forever.

Had the privilege of seeing your performance yesterday in LA. As this show was most likely my first and last opportunity to see you in person, I just wanted to say thank you for coming to the US. You are a pleasure to behold. Thank you!

Hi Tim! I was at your show tonight at the Orpheum, Los Angeles, and just wanted you to know how inspirational I found it to be! Singing ‘Hallelujah’ in the dark was oh, so special! Of course your songs, lyrics, vocals, virtuosity were amazing, comedy was funny, but it is your approach to the integration of music, storytelling, humor, with themes re: truth, integrity, humanity, that made it impactful to me. My daughter and future son in law do musical theater (you’ve seen some of it online and commented), I am a choreographer/ceramicist and creating work that makes a difference in this world of ours is what we do! Keep sharing your take on life in the way that you do! It’s motivating! Thanks for a beautiful evening at an incredible theater! Carla

At your Seattle concert tonight! Fantastic! Front row… next to the empty seats… My adhd, gay son took me! He enjoyed the show. We got a kick when you basically described him when you were talking about Violet. And I kept putting my fist in front of my mouth so I wouldn't be lipsyncing along with you singing. I’ll be back, if you will :) Amazing Tim! You are a talented treasure !!!! Thank you:)

When I heard (late, my fault for not constantly being on line) you were coming, I instantly started googling timminchin.com, so many official looking ticket places, all very expensive, you were nice enough to let me know they were scalpers, but it was too late at that point, you were sold out, as one would expect you to be. I do thank you for letting me know, this is the only place I should be buying tickets, I was genuinely surprised at how official the scalper pages looked and isn't it illegal if they are using your name in their website? Anyway, I'm sure everyone will have a great time at the show tomorrow. I will just have to wait and see if you come round again...at least I have all the cds. Safe travels Tim, Cj

Tim, I first found your music on a random Tuesday night. I was 15 and was absolutely blown away. I'm 19 now and this Saturday, I finally get to see you perform live! I hope I get to meet you and I cannot wait to experience your music live. Remeber, your changing lives continents away :)
