Hi Tim, First of all I want to congratulate you on Apart Together. It’s such a beautiful piece of work and weirdly I’m so proud of you for doing what you were clearly born to do! I’ve been a fan since I discovered your comedy in 2008; I dragged all my uni mates to see you recording Graham Norton that year. I also saw you in Nottingham the year you toured the Heritage Orchestra, and took my Mum to see Superstar where she fell in love with you as Judas, also I’ve literally made friends because of you, on a hen weekend I once stayed up til 4am with a girl I’d never met before talking about and watching videos of you! My husband and I watched Upright and bawled. It was honestly the best TV we have seen. I’m writing this because I just want you to know how impactful your music has been on me. Last year I was lucky enough to see your Back Tour in Nottingham. Big, weird confession time, I was severely depressed and on the verge of what I guess would be described as “emotional affair” at the time - my marriage was struggling. Then you played “I’ll Take Lonely Tonight”. And god, I cried. My Mum looked at me and held my hand. She cried. I had a moment of clarity. I’m not going to say that song changed everything, but it was certainly eye-opening. I’ve since had a lot of counselling, both individual and with my husband and we are better now. I’ve listened to the album, played it everywhere, played it to my mum, to my husband, to my daughters. I just wanted to say, as a long time fan, thank you, we believe in you and I’m so pleased you are doing what you have been born to do. And in no small way, lots of love and hope to you, your Mum and your family. Thank you. Brooke

Many of my friends were unable to see the Apart Together Livestream concert for various reasons...so....BIG REQUEST to put it out in DVD format. Please. That would be awesome. The concert was absolutely Beautiful ! Visually and musically...I did feel like I was right there...the direction and camera work was excellent, the musicians top notch and so full of JOY and love and fun and feeling !!!! Plus Ben Folds throwing that delightful improv at Tim at the end...hilarious. And of course Tim's insightful and heartfelt talking bits were, as always, much food for thought and very moving. And the songs. Each one an epic story that sweeps us up and returns us having filled our 21.3 ( I think that was the number ? ) gram souls and brains and hearts. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Did I mention putting it out as a DVD ? That would be Brilliant.

I couldn't watch the live stream, the buffering was terrible. The video and sound were out of sync. I have been trying to find where I could watch it after but haven't been able to find it😔

Thank you Tim. I just watched Upright. The moment when you spoke about the piano " all the scratches..." Was wonderful. Thank you for that. I hope someday you can come back to the US and I can see you in concert. I wish you all the best. Thank you for all you do- J

Hi Tim, This is not the forum I wished to touch base with you, but a friend who I loved dearly passed recently. He was your greatest fan and a lot of his inspiration. I bought him something before he left us and I think ( I know) he would like me to pass on to you. Let me know where/if it would be appropriate to onsend. With sadness and respect. KE

I really enjoyed the podcast with Fi and Jane. It was very thoughtful all round and those two brought a lot out of you in a way that a conventional interview wouldn't. I was interested in your comments on Trump and equally on progressives. You say that you do your best not to listen to Trump. Then you talk about how you believe that we should have empathy for everyone, however bad they are or whatever bad deeds they have done. (these last two sentences seem to contradict each other). That then led you on to how judgemental progressive types are and that's partly why we are where we are today. I agreed with most of what you said. But.... Surely one lesson of the last century is that you can't empathise or negotiate with fascists? We have to be intolerant of them and point out what they are trying to do at every turn. As someone said, one reason the Nazis got to power is that a lot of good people stood by and let it happen. I'm sure you must have thought about this and I know in the interview you were at pains to try and get your point across gently and I may have misrepresented you here.

Tim, thank you for the beauty you put out into the world. I've recently become a fan of yours after listening to your podcast with David Tennant. Thank you for the beautiful gem that is Upright. I've watched it three times so far. Hope it will be available on DVD in the future. I enjoy your musical/lyric style very much; listened to the original Broadway recording of Groundhog Day last night. Also a BIG THANK YOU for putting on the upcoming streaming concert Nov. 19th. For several reasons, I will never be able to attend one of your live concerts. I'm so looking forward to this concert.
