I am currently visiting my female friend in America (I'm from Australia), and have introduced her to your music and comedy. Needless to say she's fallen in love, in a non-creepy, exclusively appreciative way. I hope. We find ourselves singing along to your songs in the car, and sometimes around people who have no idea what we're going on about. Hi Tim, It's my pleasure to start my feedback with a sentence filled with pathos. Your art has made me a better person. Three of your... Let's say "performances" have drastically altered the way I see the world right now. The first one being your "pre-hair" interview, which led me to think that... Well.. If this guy could do it, why the hell can I not?) The second one being your performance as Judas in the immortal epic of Andrew Lloyd Webber, which led me to think of the Message of christianity all over again. And lastly - but by far not the least - I thank you for The Fence. This song made me question each and every one of the dogmas I held sacred. As a summary, your artistic work has had a deep impact on my life, and I beileve that I have become a better person in the last few years largely thanks to your lyrics and music. Tim, my wife and I have just listened to some carefully selected songs of yours with our kids 14 and 13 (Peace Anthem for Palestine a favourite), after having fallen in love with your musical and comedy genius several years ago. I have never felt such strong affection for someone I don't know, and while I am fairly sure that you will be unable to read let alone respond to these messages personally, I hope you truly understand the deep joy and happiness you have brought so many people - a remarkable achievement by a remarkable person. Hello Mate. I live over in the US where our music scene is mediocre at best. Recently had a chance to see you Showtime Special, and ever since i have been a big fan. It is quite refreshing when you find new music, especially as good as yours. After watching the show I new i needed to do my research and find more about this 'Tim Minchin'. So After a few Videos i new i was a Fan for Life. Wish more people knew about you, i try to tell everyone i know about your music. The first time i saw Canvas Bags, i knew i was watching a Musical Genius! Keep up the awesome work. Would love to see you in concert some time, are there any tour dates in the USA for 2014.
