I'm not sure whether this is a/the proper forum to air this humble thought of mine, but considering the situation at hand I'm compelled to at least try. Besides supporting the people of Ukraine any which way one can, I'm proposing a global movement called "Laugh At Putin". There's no existing platform nor site to address this idea, since I don't see it would fill any greater purpose as such. What I've come to conlcude merely by living, is that if there's something a despot can't tolerate, it's being ridiculed beyond what he can bear (pun intended), hence it's stripping him of his believability and any remnants of honour and self-esteem. Puerility sprung out of ignorance fueled by greed is deserving of all the mockery it gets showered with. Making fun of a bully considering himself serious is far more efficient than punching him back, not to mention any prayer; the latter being nothing but wishing the bad away pretending to have done something meaningful just to clear your conscience. Starting today, I urge the civil communities of the world to LAT; in media, publicly, whole-heartedly. And make it as fun as you deem necessary, all in good taste.

Hi Tim. Of course you, of all people, would realise that seeing a Tim Minchin live performance is an enviable experience. So too was your recent Sydney gig. CD purchased (yeah, I know - outdated technology so we’ve given ourselves away as old(er) groupies.) Anyways, CD playing ‘Apart Together’ on a loop. The songs are so evocative - they so brilliantly tell the story (I hate that “journey” descriptor) of >>LA > several years of wrangling with the LÀ white shoe brigade, those who were literate, to naught, in the end. Bloody waste, in one way, but fucking lessons learned. AND, you’ve always had your priorities straight. Realise comments about your most recent CD ignore the period of your most marvellous Achievements with Matilda. Scusi Your family must be SO proud!! Thank you so much for all that you have given us. You’re truly a fucking genius and we introduce your work to all our friends and acquaintances. Best Margaret Foley
